你是哪国人？ Nǐ shì nǎguórén ? What is your nationality ?

我是法国人。 Wǒ shì fǎguórén. I am French.

他是不是中国人？ Tā shì bú shì zhōngguórén ? Is he Chinese?

我们都学汉语。 Wǒmen dōu xué hànyǔ. We all learn Chinese.

她们不都会写汉字。 Tāmen bù dōu huì xiě hànzì. They (feminine) do not all know how to write Chinese characters.

我们都不会说日语。 Wǒmen dōu bú huì shuō rìyǔ. None of us can speak Japanese.

你会说汉语吗？ Nǐ huì shuō hànyǔ ma ? Can you speak Chinese?

你住在哪儿？ Nǐ zhù zài nǎr ? Where do you live ?

我住在北京。 Wǒ zhù zài Běijīng. I live in Beijing.

他在中国学中文。 Tā zài zhōngguó xué zhōngwén. He studies Chinese in China.
