Study the text by following these steps:
- You must be able to read it aloud, and understand it. Reading aloud trains your reading comprehension and your pronunciation.
- The next exercise consists of writing the Chinese text and translating it into English, without looking at the translation.
- The last exercise is to write in Chinese from English, it is the most difficult. When you get there without error, the "traditional writing" section can be considered as achieved.

To go shopping
Wang: "What's the weather like today?"
Li: Today it's not good, it's cold and it may rain.
Wang: Do you want to go out shopping?
Li: Yes. How do we get there? We do not know how to drive.
Wang: Let's go by taxi.
Li: Where do you want to go shopping?
Wang: I would like to go to the little shops behind the railway station. What do you think?
Li: All right. I would like to buy rice and some fruit. And you?
Wang: I would like to buy apples, tea and tea cups.
Li: When are we going?
Wang: This afternoon at 2 pm, okay?
Li: Okay. See you this afternoon."
Wang: "These tea cups are very pretty, how much do they cost each?"
Shopkeeper: 7 yuans each.
Wang: OK.
Li: It's very hot in this shop. Let's go home."
