Hello,

In standard sentences it says "Wǒ de dōngxi hěn duō".

Could you please explain the meaning of this sentence? Also with regards to the sentence "Wǒ yǒu hěn duō dōngxi."

Do they mean the same?

Thank you very much,

Yours faithfully,

Sally Busack

Hi Sally,
Basically, it has the same meaning. But the grammar is different :
我的东西很多。Here the subject is 我的东西 and the verb is 多.
我有很多东西。The subject is 我, the verb 有, and the object is 东西.
The point here is to show two different ways to express basically the same meaning in Chinese.
Best regards,
John
