老师好,

Sometimes in listening tests I hear the word 'de' and I don't know why it's there e.g. in the above when the man speaks he starts with 'Nǐ de', but the word 'de' seems to have no purpose. Have I missed something? Can you please explain?

In a dialogue 女的 designates the female speaker and 男的 the male speaker.
